The ACT has changed.
The ACT is undergoing significant changes in 2025. The new core test will last just two hours, compared to three hours for the current test. For all formats including online and paper, students will see:
- Shorter test with fewer questions – giving you more time per question
- Science becomes optional – students can choose to take the test without the science section
- New scoring system – ACT Superscore calculated using English, math, and reading, with science reported separately
Why This Matters for Your Prep: With these major changes rolling out, it’s more important than ever to practice with current test formats and understand exactly what you’ll face on test day. Our expert tutors stay current with all ACT updates to ensure your preparation matches the actual exam you’ll take.
Don’t let test changes catch you off guard. Start with our free practice test to see where you stand, then let our tutors guide you through the most current strategies and content for the new ACT format.
Free Practice Tests
Once you complete the registration form, you will receive a confirmation email and we’ll be sure to send you a reminder email a few days prior to the event. We’ll contact you to set up a ScoresBack Appointment the week following the testing event. We take the importance of the test(s) and your confidentiality seriously, so we do not email, mail, or fax scores. We believe the results are too important to not explain them in person.
Plan to bring a snack, a calculator, and #2 pencils to the event!
**If you’ve already taken official tests (excluding PreACT & PSAT), these scores will be used in lieu of the GSP Practice Tests.**
Accommodations: If you receive accommodations for the ACT or SAT, please send us the documentation you’ve received from the test maker and/or the accommodations you’ve applied for along with some information about the student’s IEP or 504 Plan. We request this information at least ten days prior to the testing event in order to ensure we’re providing the right accommodations and that we have the proctor availability on the requested date.
