Zach was born and raised in north Kansas City, making the drive to the Pembroke Hill School for high school. There, he was a captain in both Football and Track and Field (he still holds several records for shot put at Pembroke, not that he would ever brag), as well as the editor-in-chief for the school’s creative writing magazine.
He continued his football career at Washington University in St. Louis, where he majored in Biomedical Engineering, and minored in Creative Writing. He also served as the Vice President of Standards for the Intrafraternity Council, acting as disciplinarian to the Greek community.
His career-path after college is a wild and varied thing, and is certainly worth a conversation.
Zach loves reading books, writing, cooking with his soon-to-be wife, and several other things that are not nearly as impressive to list as the first three.
Zach teaches at our Mission Location and is available to work with students on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6-9PM.
